 According to the accounts of Yahusha Mashiach in the Gospels, the instruction to give money was rooted in spiritual, practical, and compassionate motivations.

Why Give Money?

• To Store Treasure in Heaven: Yahusha taught that giving to the poor or supporting his work was a way to invest in spiritual, eternal wealth rather than temporal earthly wealth (Matthew 6:19-21).
• To Remove Obstacles to Discipleship: In the case of the rich young ruler, money was a hindrance to following him, so he taught that selling possessions and giving to the poor demonstrated prioritizing the Kingdom of Heaven over material wealth (Mark 10:17-25).
• To Support the Ministry: Yahusha and his disciples relied on contributions from the community to cover expenses while preaching, showing that funding the spread of the message was a valid use of money (Luke 13:29).
• To Love Neighbors and Enemies: Giving was presented as a method to show love and mercy, reflecting the character of the Creator, rather than only loving those who love you (Luke 6:27-38).

To Whom?

• To the Poor/Needy: Yahusha emphasized helping those who could not repay, calling it a form of love for "the least of these," which is equated with serving Him.
• To Support Missionaries/Teachers: Resources were used to support those traveling and teaching the Word.
• To Caesar/Authorities: Yahusha taught to "give to Caesar what is Caesar's," encouraging the payment of taxes and obedience to civil authority (Matthew 17:24-27, 22:21). 

In summary, the giving was not merely for transactions but for cultivating a compassionate heart and supporting the work of the Kingdom.

The teachings often associated with Yahusha  emphasize a profound commitment to caring for the vulnerable, including the poor, needy, fatherless, and widows. This instruction is framed not only as a moral duty but as a direct reflection of divine compassion and a requirement of pure faith.

Aid

• Serving the Vulnerable as Serving Yahusha: In Matthew 25:35-40, it is taught that feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, clothing the naked, and visiting the sick and imprisoned is equivalent to doing these things for Him.
• Following The Way: James 1:27 defines pure and faultless "religion" as looking after orphans and widows in their distress.
• Giving to Those Who Cannot Repay: Luke 14:12-14 instructs followers to invite the poor, crippled, lame, and blind to banquets, focusing on helping those who cannot repay, promising reward in the resurrection.
• Active Charity: The teachings demand active charity over mere words, urging believers to share food, clothing, and possessions with those in need (1 John 3:17-18).
• The Widow and Fatherless in Law: The protection of widows and the fatherless is a central theme, with serious warnings against afflicting or exploiting them (Exodus 22:22-24, Isaiah 1:17).
• Lending to the Creator: Proverbs 19:17 and related teachings suggest that being generous to the poor is viewed as lending to the Lord. 

These commands are often linked to the expectation that followers reflect the compassionate nature of the Creator.
